I have recently joined @atelier_piino 's Patreon and one of the first things I looked for after signing up was August's challenge and I immediately started thinking about my project.

The challenge consisted of picking a song and being inspired by it to create a polymer clay piece. This is the bracelet I made to participate and here comes its history:

Music has a strong role in my life, my grief and my healing process, and one band in particular is very dear to me: @pearljam . I am a bereaved mother, as most of you already know, and for a very long time, the only sounds that could bring me some kind of peace were the ones played by Pearl Jam.

Come Back is the song I chose. I call it “Noah's Song” and once, I had the privilege to watch them playing it in a concert in São Paulo. I choose to believe that it was played for me on that day.

Well, this is how I translated the song into my piece:

🖤The black is the foundation colour of the bracelet, and it represents grief.

The colourful patches made of wiggly lines are the effect of the music over a broken heart. It is far from being linear, it is rough, imperfect, it doesn't cover nor heal the wounds, but it is there, and brings colourful joy through the sound waves and the message behind its lyrics that’s able to speak straight to one's heart.

The bracelet was inspired by the great @tinisateixeira 's tutorial, it was made with Cernit and PVClay while I was definitely listening to Pearl Jam, thinking about my boy and watching his little brother napping.
