Two Creative Jewellery Experiences in One Workshop

This special creative workshop in Vienna combines two different ways of working with polymer clay jewellery. First, you will work with raw clay to make an embroidery-inspired flower pendant. While your pendant is being cured, you will move to The Earrings Bar and assemble your own earrings from colourful pieces prepared in advance.

The combination allows you to experience both the process of shaping polymer clay and the fun of mixing and matching finished elements. You will leave with handmade jewellery and a better understanding of how polymer clay can be used in different ways.

Part One: Make a Polymer Clay Flower Pendant

You will begin by choosing a colour palette and creating a floral design inspired by embroidery. Simple clay petals, colour combinations and surface details come together to form a pendant that is completely your own.

You will learn how to:

• Condition and mix polymer clay colours

• Shape small petals and add surface details

• Build an embroidery-inspired floral composition

• Decorate a pendant cabochon

• Prepare the finished piece for curing

Part Two: Customise Your Own Earrings

While the flower pendant is being baked, you will explore The Earrings Bar. Choose from a colourful selection of ready-made polymer clay pieces and combine different shapes, sizes and styles to create earrings that reflect your personality.

You will be guided through selecting your design, drilling the pieces, adding jump rings and attaching the earring backs. Whether you prefer bold statement earrings or a more minimalist style, you can create a combination that feels right for you.

What You Will Make

Each participant will create:

• One handmade polymer clay flower pendant with a necklace cord

• One pair of customised polymer clay earrings

Your pieces will normally be cured and finished on-site so you can take them home on the same day. If additional baking or finishing time is needed, collection can be arranged or delivery is available for an additional €5.

Meet Your Tutor

I’m Roberta Modulo, the Brazilian artist and jewellery maker behind Nikah Costa. I have been making jewellery for more than twenty years and now host colourful, beginner-friendly polymer clay workshops in Vienna.

I have taught classes, tutorials and online symposiums. I also joined the Design and Technology Department at the University of Arts Linz for a summer-semester project, helping students explore the creative possibilities of polymer clay.

My workshops combine practical artist guidance with a welcoming and playful atmosphere where everyone has space to experiment and develop their own style.

Is the workshop suitable for beginners?

Yes. No previous jewellery-making or polymer clay experience is required. I will demonstrate each step and support you during both parts of the workshop.

Is the workshop held in English?

Yes. The workshop is held in English. Support in Portuguese is also available when needed.

What will I make during the workshop?

You will make one polymer clay flower pendant with a necklace cord and customise one pair of earrings using colourful polymer clay pieces prepared in advance.

Will I work with polymer clay from scratch?

Yes, during the flower pendant part. You will shape and decorate raw polymer clay yourself. For The Earrings Bar part, the colourful pieces are handmade and cured in advance, and you will select, drill and assemble them into earrings.

I don’t have pierced ears. Can I make clip-on earrings?

Yes. Clip-on options are available. Please mention this when booking so the correct materials can be prepared.

What are the earring posts made of?

High-quality stainless steel earring posts and hooks are used. The earring backs are made of silicone.

Can I take my jewellery home on the same day?

Yes, normally both your earrings and pendant will be ready to take home at the end of the workshop. If the pendant needs additional curing or finishing time, it can be collected later or delivered for an additional €5.

Can I request a particular colour?

Yes. Let me know in advance and I will do my best to include the colour you would like to use.

Can this workshop be booked for a private group?

Yes. It can be organised for birthdays, bachelorette parties, team gatherings, company events and other private occasions in Vienna.

Workshop Cancellation Policy

If you cancel between 14 and 8 days before the workshop, you will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made 7 days or fewer before the workshop are not refundable.

A minimum of six participants is required. If this number is not reached one week before the workshop, the event may be cancelled. All purchased tickets will then be refunded and participants will be informed.
